The Sea |

Carol started out as a biologist. Plants were her passion,
but marine biology was her aspiration. Her botanicals evolved from the
hours spent sketching the specimens under a microscope. Her interest in
the sea continues.

This rose was long a favorite of Christian Wickenhiser,
Carol's grandfather, a chemist, and plant hybridizer. When she was a young
child, he presented her with her own rose garden and taught her how to
graft the young stock.
Roses remain a
favorite subject.
